Job Summary
Centre Electric & Technology is currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Executive to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to expand their career in sales within the communications industry, while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and performance-oriented environment.
As an Outside Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining and growing existing client relationships, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You will work closely with our operations team, project managers, and technicians to ensure that client needs are met with high-quality solutions and exceptional service.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to contribute to the continued success and growth of Centre Electric & Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Your role as an Outside Sales Executive will involve generating new business, managing client accounts, and supporting project delivery across commercial and industrial sectors. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous improvement will be essential. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Sales Growth & Targets
- Actively pursue and secure new clients and business opportunities for structured cabling projects.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
2.Client Relationship Management
- Attend site walkthroughs, client meetings, and presentations to assess project requirements and provide customized solutions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering timely, professional support.
3. Project Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with operations staff and technicians to coordinate project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Provide recommendations and feedback to improve project scope, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
4.Estimating & Documentation
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and RFP responses for inside and outside sales opportunities.
- Take ownership of all sales and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of sales reports, expenses, and work orders.
5.Vendor Relations & Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to stay up to date on new products, technologies, and industry trends.
- Leverage vendor partnerships to provide clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
6.Team Collaboration & Meetings
- Attend regular sales meetings, site visits, and company events as required.
- Work closely with management and administrative staff to ensure smooth coordination between departments.
7.Professionalism & Accountability
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and reliability in all client and team interactions.
- Demonstrate consistent follow-through and accountability in achieving personal and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in Outside Sales, preferably within the Structured Cabling, Electrical, or Securities industries. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to identify client needs, present tailored solutions, and close deals effectively while maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Business Development: Self-motivated with the ability to prospect, network, and build new business opportunities independently.
- Organization & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, proposals, and documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively with operations staff, project managers, and technicians to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Professionalism & Reliability: Demonstrates punctuality, accountability, and the ability to work independently while representing the company with integrity and professionalism.
